Where Business Meets Style: Corplex Creates a Hub for Innovation
Meet our new neighbours in Port Melbourne: Archer Insurance and RDM Electrical. What a fantastic space to welcome them into. It has been a privilege to deliver this three-storey, mixed-use design and construct project, tailored to support two thriving businesses with very different operational needs.
With a total land area of 3,700m² and a total floor area of 1,850m², this flexible and modern facility offers a smart balance of warehouse (900m²), office (400m²), retail/showroom (200m²) and car parking (400m²); all just 6km from the Melbourne CBD.
From day one, our focus was on delivering a building that’s as practical as it is polished. The result is a striking façade with clean architectural lines, and interiors that bring together form, function, and flexibility. We worked closely with both tenants to ensure their operations would be supported by design decisions at every level.

New Neighbours, New Energy: A Dynamic Space for Archer & RDM
For Archer Insurance, a boutique commercial insurance brokerage, the new space provides a sophisticated and professional environment to meet clients, collaborate as a team and scale operations. Their office layout was customised to provide a balance of open-plan work zones and private consultation areas, designed to reflect the attention to detail and client-focused ethos of their business.
RDM Electrical, on the other hand, needed a smart mix of warehouse, office and retail functionality. As specialists in commercial and industrial electrical contracting, they required robust storage and workshop space on the ground floor with seamless access for deliveries and dispatch. Alongside the warehouse is a well-appointed showroom space, an impressive area for showcasing products and meeting with trade clients. Their upstairs office provides an efficient operations hub, tailored for the project management and administrative side of their business.

Throughout the build, we focused on delivering a structure that supports long-term business success: durable materials, energy-efficient systems, clear circulation paths and flexible internal layouts that can adapt as each business grows. From the large car park for staff and clients to the integration of warehouse and office zones, every element was crafted with usability and quality in mind.
It’s incredibly rewarding to see this building now in use and thriving. Archer Insurance and RDM Electrical each bring something unique to the precinct, and we’re proud to have played a part in shaping their next chapter.
