Part of the global Kingspan Group, Kingspan Insulation is a recognised leader in high-performance insulation and building envelope technologies, supplying innovative products that improve energy efficiency, thermal performance, and sustainability across the construction industry.
Built on a 33,000m² site, the new facility brings together a 6,600m² manufacturing plant, 6,600m² warehouse, 600m² office, and 400m² covered canopy, creating a unified hub for production, distribution and administration. Every element of the development has been purpose-built to support Kingspan’s operational goals, streamlining manufacturing flow, enhancing logistics efficiency, and providing a collaborative, modern workspace for their growing team.

Building Efficiency and Sustainability: A Landmark Kingspan Insulation Centre in Somerton.
From the outset, sustainability was central to the project’s vision, reflecting Kingspan’s global Planet Passionate initiative, which aims to achieve net-zero carbon manufacturing by 2030. The facility has been designed to target 5 Star Green Star performance, incorporating high-performance insulation, energy-efficient smart lighting, and an 800kW rooftop solar system that significantly reduces grid energy reliance. A rainwater harvesting system also contributes to water conservation, supporting reuse throughout the facility and reinforcing Kingspan’s environmental leadership.
The manufacturing and warehouse zones have been designed with flexibility and scalability in mind, enabling efficient material flow from raw product intake to finished goods dispatch, while allowing capacity to grow with future demand. Reinforced foundations, integrated service pits, and precision-engineered layouts ensure optimal performance of the advanced production equipment used in the manufacture of Kingspan’s insulation products.
The adjoining office space provides a contemporary and connected work environment, with open-plan layouts, meeting zones, and breakout areas designed to foster collaboration between technical, logistics, and administrative teams. This modern environment supports not only operational excellence but also Kingspan’s culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
