Corplex is proud to have delivered a bold, purpose-built facility in Somerton for long-standing industry leaders Metcalf Cranes, designed to support the high-demand, high-performance nature of their crane hire and heavy lifting operations. Set on a compact yet highly efficient 4,400m² site, this tailored build combines a durable 700m² warehouse, a 700m² workshop, and a 300m² office, coming together as a 1,900m² powerhouse of functionality and industrial precision.
Metcalf Cranes is recognised for delivering reliable crane hire solutions across commercial construction, infrastructure and complex lifting environments, where uptime, safety and responsiveness are critical. This new facility has been designed to directly support those priorities, providing the infrastructure required to maintain, prepare and deploy their fleet with speed and confidence.

The facility has been strategically planned to align with Metcalf Cranes’ operational rhythm, from daily dispatches to maintenance-intensive cycles. The large-span workshop is built for resilience, with generous clearances, reinforced flooring and service zones that allow heavy-duty crane maintenance, inspections and repairs to be carried out efficiently and safely. Adjacent to this, the secure warehouse provides organised storage for high-value components, rigging equipment and spare parts, improving inventory control and reducing downtime between jobs.
The two-level office is the operational heart of the facility, offering contemporary workspaces that balance professionalism with practicality. Designed with natural light, modern finishes and functional layouts, the office supports scheduling, compliance, logistics coordination and client engagement, enabling the team to manage complex projects while remaining closely connected to on-ground operations.

Externally, the site includes 37 car spaces and a carefully considered circulation layout that allows for safe, efficient movement of large vehicles, mobile cranes and support equipment.
