Growing Bright Futures: A New Hub for Learning and Play in Lara
We’re glad to have continued our partnership with our valued client, Allaf, with the delivery of a new purpose-built childcare centre in Lara, tenanted by Story House Early Learning. This thoughtfully designed early learning facility brings together functionality, safety and vibrant design on one of the region’s most generously sized sites, creating a welcoming and nurturing environment for children, families and educators alike.
Located in the heart of Lara, the single-level precast concrete centre sits on a substantial 3,800m² site, allowing for a spacious and well-considered layout that prioritises both indoor and outdoor learning experiences. The 900m² building has been designed to accommodate up to 130 children at any one time, with careful planning around circulation, visibility and supervision to support safe and efficient day-to-day operations for Story House’s education team.

Growing Bright Futures: A New Hub for Learning and Play in Lara
Internally, the centre features a series of light-filled learning rooms and shared spaces designed to encourage curiosity, creativity and social interaction. The layout supports a variety of learning styles and age groups, while providing practical amenities and support spaces for educators to deliver high-quality early learning programs. Durable finishes and materials were selected throughout to ensure the facility can withstand the demands of a busy childcare environment while remaining warm and inviting.
A standout feature of the project is the impressive 1,600m² synthetic turf outdoor play area, providing ample space for physical activity, exploration and nature-inspired play. The scale of the outdoor area allowed for the creation of multiple play zones tailored to different age groups, supporting motor skill development, imaginative play and outdoor learning, all essential components of early childhood development.
Expanding Horizons: A Vibrant New Space for Childhood Adventures
The building’s robust precast concrete construction provides long-term durability, enhanced safety and improved thermal performance, contributing to a comfortable environment year-round. Sustainability, safety and regulatory compliance were key considerations throughout the build, ensuring the centre meets all relevant early learning standards and provides peace of mind for families and operators.
Corplex worked collaboratively with Allaf, Story House and the broader project team from design through to completion, ensuring the finished centre aligned with the client’s vision and the operational needs of the tenant.
