Forging the Future: Corplex Builds Metroll’s Benchmark Industrial Hub in Melbourne’s Southeast.
Another high-performance industrial facility designed and constructed by Corplex, this impressive site is more than just a building, it’s a future-focused manufacturing hub that sets a national benchmark for Metroll, one of Australia’s leading manufacturers and distributors of steel building products.
Located on a 27,500m² site in Melbourne’s rapidly growing southeast industrial corridor, the development comprises a 10,300m² factory, 700m² of high-quality ground-floor office space and 1,600m² of covered canopies. The design incorporates six overhead gantry cranes, extra-heavy-duty concrete pavements and a vast open hardstand, allowing for seamless movement of heavy materials, efficient vehicle access and high-volume production throughput.

Corplex worked in close partnership with Metroll from initial concept through to completion, ensuring the design not only reflected current operational needs but could also scale with future growth. In fact, the insights gained through this collaborative process directly informed the blueprint for Metroll’s new warehouse in South Australia, establishing a repeatable model for future facilities.
